Why do these Things Keep Happening to Me? Babies 50 and 51

It was strange. I was already half way done with my baby challenge. I started it hoping just to prove all those people wrong. The people who thought a person like me would never be able to complete a big challenge like that. And once along the line, not too long ago, I thought they were right. I thought I proved their points and they were behind me laughing at how big of an idiot I was.

Look where I am now! I'm at baby fifty of my one hundred baby challenge! It took me nearly a year, but I finally made it. If it really takes me a year to get to fifty babies, I don't want to imagine how long it will be until I get to baby one hundred.

A few days after Midnight and Platinum were born, I headed out to pick up the next father's ingredients. He was the same father my best friend Skye used for her fiftieth baby, so I thought it would be fun to use the same man. Both of our half way children would be siblings! After doing what needed to be done, I came home and Skye was standing in my foyer, staring at me. "Um..."  I stuttered. "Skye?"

"ELLO MY DEAR PARKER!" she exclaimed, twirling around in circles as I rubbed my forehead.

"And I thought this was going to be a quiet pregnancy," I muttered under my breath. Don't get me wrong, I love the girl more than anything. But come on! SHE'S PSYCHO. She grabbed my wrist and sprinted out the
door, ME in tow. "Where are we going?" I asked between breaths.

"No matter!" she assured me. "You just relax and enjoy the ride!"

"THE RIDE? You mean the ride where I'm being dragged behind an insane chick with teal hair? GUESS AGAIN."

She laughed and we stopped dead once we got to the airport. My feet felt like they were going to fall off, but Skye didn't let me sit down and rest. Oh no, she didn't allow that until we were on a plane to somewhere she wouldn't tell me about!

"Where are we going?" I asked once I had finally relaxed in first class.

"Not telling you!"

This went on, back and forth, until the flight came to a close hours later.

"WE'RE HERE," she proclaimed, standing up and once again pulling me along with her. When I took a look around, I realized we were in a desert. Upon closer inspection, I noticed casinos everywhere.

"Oh no," I moaned. "Casinos? WHY IN THE HELL ARE WE HERE?"

She smiled and patted my head. "Calm down youngling. We aren't the only two who are here!" The minute she said that, a few of my favorite people in the whole world appeared: Laura Johanson, Calista Smith, Amber Lights-Masons, Hadley Reed-Pope and Ellie Wyntre. "We are in Lucky Palms, the perfect place to gamble! I heard you say the other day that you've never even set foot in a casino, so we decided we need to change that."

The other mothers smiled and began to walk to our destination that no one would tell me about. My eyes landed on Amber, so I decided to start up a conversation. I had only met her once in the duration of my challenge, but she was my idol. My role model. Amber was the reason I began my challenge, and it meant the world to me that she was here, especially since she was no longer a challenge mother.

We talked for a while before I felt like I was crowding her and I decided it was time to speak with Calista. I hadn't spoken one-on-one with most of my old friends in a while, with the exception of Laura and Skye. Calista and I talked about her cheating boyfriend Luke for a while and her son's sim fu master, Adam before I expressed my worries about life. I had known Calista since the very start and I was lucky enough to call her one of my closest friends. I wasn't sure that she felt the same way, but it still made me happy that she
could attend Skye's party.

Suddenly, I felt extremely bad that I didn't throw a party for Skye's fiftieth baby. "It's alright," Calista assured me. "I'm sure Skye wouldn't have wanted one either."

"I don't even want one!"

She chuckled and Amber tapped her shoulder to get her attention. Hadley found her way over to me and we spoke for a while about each other's problems. For the last couple minutes of our walk down the streets of Lucky Palms, Laura, Ellie, Skye and I walked behind the other three silently.

When we got to our destination (a casino) Skye was immediately in party mode. "DRINK ALL THE ALCOHOL!" she screamed, throwing her arm up in the air.

"Challenge accepted," I breathed and we all headed to the bar. By this point it was about eight at night and it was Skye's plan to get us all drunk. Is that all she thinks we're good for? I couldn't get drunk because I was worried I might be pregnant and wouldn't want to risk hurting my child, but I did go gamble a bit. Just for fun.

Calista decided on staying sober, too, and joined me, but never actually bet anything. Hadley, Laura, Skye, Ellie and Amber, however, got beyond drunk.

At some point in the night, Skye tried to strip off her shirt and run around naked, but Calista was able to calm her down and talk some sense into her.

Amber began dancing on the tables, but I must say, she looked mighty fine while she did so. A few times, in her drunken state, she would slip and fall off of the table, but she would always pull herself up and begin dancing again.

Laura and Ellie were throwing back drinks like it was the end of the world, which made me giggle. Eventually everyone, even the sober Calista, ended up on the tables dancing the night away.

Sadly, near the end of the night we had to go back to the hotel and in the morning we were to go home. It was a nice trip and definitely worth taking, but honestly I missed home. Sure, I had only been gone a day, but a day spent with Skye feels like an eternity.

When our plane finally landed back in Sunset Valley, I invited the girls over to my house. They all accepted, even Amber, surprisingly. We basically just partied in the basement for a few hours-- foosball, pinball, darts, dancing, T.V., and many other things-- until Amber had to get home to her family, Skye was beckoned home by her girlfriend, Laura and Calista needed to get to their kids and Hadley wanted to go back to her husband.

So, once again, I was left alone in my huge house. Thankfully, I had kids this time that would make me feel less lonely. I decided it was time to age them up:

Laura turns into a beautiful teenager with a love of life and a need to make everyone around her smile. She is constantly laughing and when she gets in one of those moods that all teens seem to have, she likes to play pranks on her ol' mom. Sometimes I will sit down and a fake fart will ring out, or when I flush the toilet water will splash out at me. I love that girl, but when she gets like that it can be rather annoying.

Midnight and Platinum are the best of friends. After Andie and Wendy, babies sixteen and seventeen, I always sighed with relief when my twins got along. Midnight was beautiful with her flowing red hair and emerald eyes. Platinum was identical to his sister, eyes and all, and if Midnight didn't have long hair you'd never be able to tell them apart.

My stomach was slightly bigger and I was getting anxious to meet baby fifty. Soon, all I could think about was what I was going to do after the challenge. I barely had a life before I started, so what would happen when I finished? I knew I wouldn't get as lucky as Amber: a husband and perfect little family may not happen. Jesse and I had been growing apart as of late. Skye had her girlfriend, Ellie, that she would marry after she finished. Who did I have? A boyfriend that didn't even like to look at me? Recently, Jess was spending all of his time at work.

Yeah, work. Does work go by the name of Jessica and have huge, fake boobs? NO! I saw in his wallet, something I knew he didn't want me to see. Every part of her was obviously fake, even her hair was a disgusting platinum blonde.

I didn't give cheaters second chances.

Who was I? Why did all of the men I thought were good end up hurting me in ways I almost couldn't move on from? James abandoned me for a French woman and started his perfect life with her, Jack tried to KILL me and Jesse...

I thought he was different.

Obviously not. When he got home, I slammed all of his filthy belongings into his arms, pushing him out the door and slammed it in his face. "I KNOW ABOUT JESSICA!" I screamed, turning the lock and slinking down the wall. I bawled for what was probably an hour, holding my legs in my arms. For a while, Jesse stood outside, pounding on the door.

"Paisley! Open the door!" he would scream. "Tell me what I did wrong! PLEASE! I'll fix it! And who's Jessica!? Paisley!" Eventually he gave up, probably because it started to pour rain, and left the property. I knew I'd have to deal with him later but for then I just wanted to forget about my newest problem and have the baby.

I fell into bed, wiped my tears away and fell asleep.

I spent the better part of five months on him, loving him with all my heart, and how does this damned relationship end? HE CHEATS ON ME.

No one will ever love me, right? Is it really that unthinkable to be loved unconditionally? For the rest of my life by one man? APPARENTLY SO.

I almost fell back into my depression, but this time I was determined to move on with my life as quickly as I could. Skye could immediately tell that something wasn't right when she came over on my third day of pregnancy.

"What's up?" she asked.

"Jesse cheated on me."

She gulped, wide eyed, her mouth open, and said, "What did you do?"

Anger flooded over me. "What did I do? HE cheated on ME. How could you ever say that?"

"What did you do to drive him away?" she demanded.

Tears welled up in my eyes as my best friend screamed at me for something I had no control over. The person she was supposed to be yelling at was her son. I guess that was the risk of dating Skye's child: of course she'd side with her demon spawn.

I started to bawl as she looked even angrier. "You did something, didn't you?" I knew this rage came from her naive thoughts of us being together forever, having kids, blah blah blah. When she went home and calmed down would she see it was his fault and not mine? "I KNOW IT WAS YOU!" she yelled and ran out the door, leaving me standing in shock.

Is this what I was born for? To be hurt again and again and again? Why was I that unlovable? Was it the way I looked? My personality? What could it have been? At that point I didn't care. I just wanted to be left alone.

I fell to the floor with a thud and stared at the walls. I didn't deserve this, and yet I received it. It was then that I decided I would never date again. I would never open my heart to another soul so I didn't get hurt.

Yes, it was better this way.

As I decided these things, I felt sharp pains and knew it was go time. I went up to my room and gave birth to two baby boys, Toffee and Caramel Parker!
Skye did this at the end of her baby 50 post, so I thought I'd steal the idea. :3
I'd like to take a minute to thank a few people.

Amber Lights- Amber has been one of my biggest supporters, especially since I started my legacy. She was the reason I started my challenge and the reason I didn't quit completely. I owe a lot to her because, really, if she wouldn't have started her baby challenge, I wouldn't have met my best friend. Thank you so much for being amazing, Amber! You're always so nice and you run an amazing blog of your own.

Calista Smith- Calista was one of the first people I met after I started my challenge, and since then I'd like to say we've become pretty good friends! You are one of the sweetest people I know and always take a minute to comment on my work! Thank you so much for sticking around as long as you have!

Laura Johanson- I haven't known you very long, Laura, but I really like you and would like to get to know you better. You're are the funniest person I know and always make me laugh. You're an amazing writer and you also make an effort to comment on both of my blogs. I hope you stick around for a while :D

Hadley Reed- I'd have to say you were THE FIRST person I met after I started the challenge. You were the first person to ever comment on ANYTHING of mine, which is a big deal to me. You are one of the three people to always leave feedback on my baby challenge posts, which makes me smile. :D

Ellie Wyntre- Nobody knows Ellie, really, but she's a new challenge mother. When I say new, I mean it. She has yet to post, which I will take care of the next time I see her. :3 She's one of my best friends "in real life" and I've known her for six years now. I love you with all my heart, Ellie! <3

Skye Everard- You all know my relationship with Skye. She's my best friend and is always there to leave her opinions in the writing process. If it weren't for her, I would've quit a LONG time ago. She also stopped her challenge to wait for me to catch up, which I'm sure wasn't easy. Skye, you're always there for me when I'm having problems and you're the only person I can tell literally EVERYTHING to. I'm so happy I've met you because you're one of the most special people in my life. I love you! <3

How is it Possible for Death to Make Life? Babies 48 and 49

I know I said the last one was short, but this one is REALLY short. Ah well, I still like it! :D
Baby Laura was the cutest little toddler. She got my orange hair and my father's brown eyes. She was always giggling and smiling and spreading her happiness. All of my worries seemed to disappear when I was around that little girl.

Ellie, however, seemed terrified when in her presence, like the girl that couldn't even talk yet was going to eat her in her sleep. I didn't know how she was going to be a challenge mother if she was afraid of children. I taught her how to change diapers, feed her and rock her to sleep. The more time went on the more comfortable she seemed being alone with her.

The funeral for my niece Anna, my brother in law Macy, and Chase's girlfriend Leah was quite the event and once more a lot of tears were shed, but when I got home somehow I forgot about them. Well, it's reasonable considering who was standing in my living room:  the Grim Reaper.
"Hello my dear Paisley," his deep voice moaned. I took a step back, shocked. "I'm assuming you'd like to make a deal with me when I offer this to you, but I'd like to father your next child."

"HELL NO!" I screamed, getting ready to run away.

All of a sudden, I was frozen in place, not allowed to move. "Now Paisley, I'm not the only one getting something out of this. If you let me be the next father, I will bring back somebody that you've lost."

My eyes widened at the thought of that. There were four people I wanted not to be dead. I didn't know what to do! Should I have just had his baby and not brought anyone back? It wouldn't have been fair to bring 1/4 of our loved ones that had passed on. Cassie and Chase wouldn't have been very happy with me for not thinking of them first. At least, that's what they would've said.

So I was stuck. "Fine," I groaned. "Go ahead. Give me your... guys, if you have any, which I assume you do and leave."

"Of course." His voice was echo-y and gave me chills, but I wasn't going to let that stop me. I needed to continue in this challenge, and if that meant birthing freaky grim reaper babies, then that's what I would do!
He donated his sperm to me and left with the promise that he would be back and ready to give me whatever I wanted. I immediately knew that I didn't want to bring anyone back. I was one of those people that believed that when you die, it was your time to go.
I tracked down the sneaky Laura who usually ventured off without me knowing and taught her to walk, talk and use the potty. It was quite a challenge, considering she was so hyper and wanted nothing but to run around causing problems for Jesse and I.

It wasn't until then that I realized that Ellie had disappeared from my orange house. When I told this to Jess, he begged me to ask her to leave. I was honestly getting sick of her, though I loved her to death, so I asked her to go back to her house.

Skye was soon over, which was bound to happen at some point, after pestering me for hours about seeing her granddaughter. She brought along my cousin Ellie, who was also her girlfriend.

We spent most of the day playing with Laura and making baby faces to her. After a few hours of this fun, Ellie and Skye left, leaving me alone with my daughter in my huge house. I needed to fill my home soon because it was actually quite dreary. So empty and silent, with the exception of Laura and her giggles.
As I was making dinner for the family, I was greeted with the first kicks of my baby. I rubbed my tummy and went back to cooking so my house didn't burn down while I was distracted. Jesse came home from work a few minutes later and sat down to fresh food with our child and I.

After dinner, I took it upon myself to check up on my first forty-six children. Recently, I had felt like such a terrible mother because I usually don't talk to my kids once they move out. I, amazingly, got a hold of all forty-six of them and finally felt relaxed.

I went about my normal post-dinner routine, which consisted of playing with Laura for a little bit, rocking her to sleep and putting her in her crib. After that Jess and I would usually spend some time together and fall asleep ourselves.

The next morning, I awoke to a slightly bigger stomach and the smells of fresh waffles. Jesse had made us some breakfast and went to work. After I woke up from my coma, my life had been extremely slow paced. Not that I was complaining, I suppose, but I was used to a new challenge presenting itself every day.
With boredom crashing over me like a wave, I invited Laura Johanson over and after a lot of talk about where we should go and what we should do, we resorted to the bean bags. "Sorry this is so boring," I said as the T.V. show we were watching came to an end. "Being pregnant limits what you can do, as you know."
She chuckled and said, "It's not a problem. I'm having fun! Now, onto other matters: who is the father of your baby?"

"The Grim Reaper." She looked slightly shocked, but I continued, "Not only that, but he offered to give me anything I want."

"Really?" she asked, surprised. "What are you going to ask him for?"

I shrugged. "I guess that's part of the reason I invited you over. I don't know what I want! Recently I've had everything I could possibly need!"
After a few minutes of thinking, she said, "Well, you could ask for another challenge father. I know sometimes it can be difficult, so maybe he could find one for you!"

I took this into consideration, and thought it was the best idea. "Alright, that's what I'll do." With that all sorted out, we awaited his arrival. At around six o' clock, dark smoke came out of nowhere, followed by Grim. Laura nearly fell out of her bean bag from shock.

"Hello my dear Paisley. Have you decided what you want?" his voice echoed.

I nodded. "I'd like another challenge father. Sometimes it can be extremely hard to find one, so I was thinking maybe you could make someone want to be the next dad!"

"Alright, done. Expect the next one soon after my child is born." With that being said, he vanished into thin air and Laura and I went back to watching.

Laura left at about eight and left me alone again, with baby Laura. I sighed, suddenly feeling very alone. Jesse hadn't been around much since our daughter was born and it left me feeling neglected.

I asked Skye to come over and entertain me, and soon we were playing with the pinball machine, foos-ball table and shuffle board. We took to the dance floor and after wearing ourselves out, she left for home and I slipped into bed after setting Laura into her crib.

The next morning, my last day of being pregnant, I cleaned up the house quickly and my eyes landed on a cake sitting in the kitchen. There was a note attached to it that read, "Paisley, I think you should age up Laura. I know how lonely you've been recently. Jesse."
I accepted his offer and woke up my sleepy toddler. Soon she was a beaming child, smiling at everything and joking around. I definitely felt tons better with her being able to speak to me and comprehend what I was saying. We took to the outdoors, she using the slip n' slide and me grilling some burgers for us to munch on.
With our bellies full, I sent her to the spring riders while I whipped out a book and sat on our bench, occasionally looking up to check on her. Her laughs rang out, causing me to smile uncontrollably. Jesse came home eventually and pulled me into a hug, forcing me to kiss him. Not that I was complaining...
Laura screamed, "EW! GET A ROOM!" and ran inside, giggling all the way. After a few minutes of snuggling with him, I pulled away, suddenly feeling very uncomfortable.

"You okay?" he questioned.

I nodded. "I think I may be in labor."

"WHAT?"

I nodded. "Yeah, but it's fine. I'm going to cook dinner now."

His eyes widened. "Please tell me you didn't say what you just said."

"What?" I inquired. "My contractions are going to be really far apart at this point and I'm hungry." I waddled away to begin dinner. Honestly, I was in a lot of pain and wanted to lie down, but I loved messing with my dear boyfriend.

I was cramping a lot and was fighting the urge to hunch over from the pain, but I wasn't going to go to the hospital for this. I wanted to get back into the habit of home births since hospitals were expensive and sucking my wallet dry.

When the pain became too much to bear, I walked over to Jesse and pinched him. "Ow! What the--?"

"I wanted you to experience pain since you're sitting there like nothing's happening," I groaned.
He laughed and squeezed my hand. "Pais, I asked if you were okay and you said yes. Why didn't you just tell me?"

I chuckled dryly. "I just wanted to mess with you a bit. I'm now regretting that decision. FOR THE LOVE--" I cried, leaning over, clutching onto my stomach. "I'm going to our room," I said and struggled my way up the stairs.

Thirteen hours later, I greeted Platinum and Midnight Parker into the world. Neither my new daughter nor son got Grim's shiny black skin, but my human skin instead.

I immediately aged them into toddlers, and boy were they adorable! They both got my dad's red hair and my green eyes.

Laura was already playing with them when her eyes landed on her baby brother and sister. She played peek-a-boo with them and demanded that I put them on the spring riders. I obeyed while she used the other one and they all giggled as they bounced.

My house was finally filling up, which got me excited to have another baby. I called up the next challenge father and scheduled a meeting for later on in the week. For then, I just wanted to enjoy the three children I currently had.

Baby fifty would be here before I knew it.

Thanks to Laura and Skye for letting me use your challenge mothers! I love having them in my game!

It's Nice to be Back: Baby 47

I apologize for this being kinda short. They won't always be this way, obviously. :3

"Are you sure you're feeling alright?" Jesse asked, stroking my orange hair as I lay on his chest. I nodded and he sighed. "Are you sure you really want to start the challenge back up? You quit for a reason!"

"Jesse," I huffed. "I want to start again, okay? I promise I'll be fine. I'm almost half way done and when I finish we can get married like you were begging of me when I announced I was quitting."

He shifted a little bit, causing me to sit up. "Hey," he started, sitting up. I looked at him, putting on my glasses and he smiled. "I'm really glad you're back."

"Back? I was never gone."

He chuckled. "You know that's not what I meant. You weren't the same after Anna died. I think this break was good for you. How are you gonna get back into the swing of things?"

I rolled my eyes and slipped into the bathroom. "It was always our plan to finish together! Come on! Start back up before I get too far ahead!" she insisted. Let's just say, Skye was the reason I started back up.
"Hey Jess," I said as I applied my lipstick in front of the mirror. He "hmm-ed" in reply. "Wanna be the next father?" He choked on his breath and ran to the bathroom.

" Are you sure you're feeling alright ?" The look on his face was pure gold, causing me to burst out laughing. He raised his eyebrow questioningly, earning even more giggles out of me. I nodded and he smiled widely. "Of course! I thought you said 'no having of the babies until I'm done.' What happened to that?"

I grinned and walked into his chest, resting my head under his chin. He wrapped his arms around my waist, earning a sigh out of me. "I just can't wait any longer. I want to see what our children could look like."

"Well, let's get to makin' babies, then!" he said giddily, grabbing my wrist and pulling me to the bed.

"You're just excited for the process leading up to the children, aren't you?" He nodded and I slapped him gently.

We got to it and fell asleep in each other's arms. When I woke up, he was gone. I pushed myself up off of the bed and wandered to the kitchen. "Jess?" I called quietly. "You down here?"

"Over here!" he replied. I found him next to the stove, cooking pancakes. "Just thought I'd make some love wrapped up in syrup for Mommy." I smirked and wrapped my arms around him as he moved the pancake around the pan gently.

As he whispered things into my ear, Skye came up to the window next to my stove. Waving and peeking in, she shouted, "OMG! IT'S PARKER! ELLO!"

We both sighed and I walked to the front door. Before it was even open all the way, she barged in and hugged me.

"I'm so glad you're back!" she exclaimed, clutching onto me harder and harder the more I tried to escape her grasp.

After being ambushed with questions about how it felt to be doing the challenge again, Jesse ushered his mother out of our house and pulled me to the counter. "I'm sorry. That interrupted our time together," he said as he pulled himself up and reeled me in so I was resting my head on his chest. He began kissing my neck and eventually I dragged him back up to the room, and after some, um, "intimate time" with him, fell asleep in his arms.
I guess I should probably get you up to speed, right?

After I was allowed to leave the hospital, I was forced (by a certain teal haired best friend of mine) to go to therapy.

Jesse insisted (after I told him that I was quitting the challenge) we age up Lee to a young adult. So, I did and sent him on his way.

I wanted to, in a way, start anew, so I dyed my hair orange and moved into a new house.
It, for the first time, was just me and him and it was nice. But then I began missing the challenge and Skye (who I stopped seeing for a while because it reminded me too much of my challenge days) so I started back up again. That's pretty much all you missed. My life isn't all that interesting.

While most challenge mother's are worth reading about and talking to, I'm not.

Other than wanting to see Skye again, I also started the challenge back up because I started it in the first place because of Amber Lights, and she got to finish her challenge, so it motivated me to start again. Basically, I owe a lot to Skye and Amber because now I can finally finish my challenge!

I was woken up to the doorbell and just by their voices I knew immediately who it was: Calista Smith, Laura Johanson, and Skye but there was someone I didn't recognize. I pushed myself out of bed, quickly got ready and ran downstairs to greet my friends. "PARKER," Skye exclaimed. "LONG TIME NO SEE, YO."

I sighed and rolled my eyes. "It's not like you were here yesterday, or anything," I muttered. I hugged Calista and said hello to Laura and turned my attention to the turquoise haired girl that stood nervously by my door.

"This is Ellie," Calista explained. "She's a new challenge mother. She--"
"I know you!" I interrupted. "I grew up with you! Didn't you live next door to me?" She smiled and nodded. After catching up briefly, Skye dragged us all to the basement. "PARTAY TIME!" Skye hollered, dragging me over to the dance floor. "We gotta get you back in the groove!"

"Of dancing or birthing babies?" Laura asked, heading for the dart board.

Skye laughed and said, "Who says both isn't an option?"

Laura and Calista started a dart tournament while Skye and I danced like crazy. Ellie played arcade games, since she didn't exactly know any of us that well. Jesse went to work so we could have some girl time. It was really fun, and eventually Hadley Reed-Pope showed up. “NOW WE CAN REALLY PARTY!” Skye screamed. “Did you bring the booze?”

Hadley chuckled and whipped out a bottle of wine from her bag.

“SHE BROUGHT THE BOOZE!” The rest of us laughed at Skye and allowed ourselves to get drunk. Don’t worry, I checked that morning and I wasn’t pregnant, so it’s not like I was doing anything harmful.

Near the end of the evening, we all passed out in the teenager’s room; Hadley on the top bunk (I don’t even want to know how she climbed up that ladder, as drunk as she was); Calista on a bean bag; me on the bottom bunk; Skye didn’t have enough motivation, so she collapsed on the floor; Laura found a spot next to her; Ellie on the other bottom bunk.

When we woke up, we all had pounding headaches. “I think my brain might burst out of my skull,” Skye muttered. “Whose idea was it to get drunk last night?”

We all glared at her and shook our heads. “Oh well, it was fun while it lasted, right?” I asked, trying to lighten the hung-over mood.

“Whatever fun we may have had last night is not worth what we’re going through now,” Hadley groaned.

Ellie nodded her agreement and we all went back to the basement to watch some TV with the sound nearly on mute.

We all talked about random things, mainly our kids and the men in our lives. Of course Skye and I sat next to each other while Calista and Laura sat next to each other. I felt bad because Ellie sat next to Hadley, someone she didn't even know. Not that there's anything wrong with Hadley, of course.

When it came time for them to leave, I said my goodbyes and found my way upstairs to my personal massage room. Jesse was extra nice when it came to building a house for my challenge. He gave me my own personal room that came in handy. I wondered how long it would be before I had to use it because of a baby.

Speaking of which, as I was working on another painting, I felt the first kicks of the baby. To celebrate the first baby of my return, Jesse and I went out to the bistro. For some reason my stomach wasn't agreeing with anything that time around. When we got home I was pretty much glued to the bathroom in case I had to have my dinner forcefully removed.

Jesse eventually became very worried about me. He would stand there and hold my hair back for me when I got sick. I was very grateful that he was around, otherwise where would  I be?
Various people came around to see me. Ellie and Skye came the most. Throughout this pregnancy I became very good friends with Ellie, and soon we talked all the time. I invited her to stay with us for the duration of my pregnancy to see how to take care of yourself. I feel like she learned a lot from me, at least I hope.

Laura and I also talked a lot over Facebook. When I wasn't talking with Calista, Laura, Skye or Ellie, I was playing World of Warcraft and watching anime. I may have been an adult with responsibilities but that didn't mean I couldn't indulge in the things I loved. Jesse, of course, spent a lot of time with me. Just to humor me, because he doesn't like anime, he would sit and watch with me all day sometimes.

Finally the time came to go to the hospital to have my forty seventh baby. Ellie began to panic and Jesse begged her to calm down. "Ellie, it's okay! I do this all the time! Just get in the car and sit with me."

Twelve hours later I came out of the hospital with a perfect little baby girl named Laura.

When we got home we fed her and put her in her crib to sleep. "You alright, hon?" Jesse asked as I collapsed on the couch.

"Leave me alone to die," I moaned, rubbing my hand across my hot face. "I think I might explode. Ellie, you're staying here until the baby is a young adult. If you're going to be a good challenge mother, you need to learn from experience."

Ellie from the corner of our living room suddenly had a look of terror on her face. "WHAT?" she exclaimed. "What are you saying, Parker?"

I smirked. "Basically, you're going to help me raise this baby. Like I said, you're not going to get any better at this unless you've worked with children. Got it?"
"I feel like you hate me," she muttered.

This got Jesse's attention. "Hey, you need to stop. Paisley's right. You called her the other day begging for help. You said you wanted a head start and now she's offering one to you. Take it or leave it." The tone in his voice meant business, and Ellie knew it.

"Alright," she sighed. "Thank you Paisley for this opportunity. I greatly appreciate it. I'm sorry to be a bother to you both."

"Not a problem," we said at the same time. She smiled and left to the teenager's room to go to sleep since she had been up all night.

I followed in her footsteps and fell into my bed. It had been a while since I had expected to wake up in a few hours to care for a crying baby, and it was actually a nice feeling. I had missed children while I was away, and seeing their perfect little faces was enough to make me smile.

Soon my phone was ringing, and what my older sister told me in between sobs was not something I was expecting. "Paisley," she cried. "Macy, Chase's girlfriend, and Anna were in a car accident... None of them made it."
